How do I go about selling
my timeshare?
Most people come to a time in
there life where they just can’t use the resort anymore or they
just don’t care to go there anymore. This is very common. So how

they can’t. A realtor does not have access to your property to
show it. A realtor will also charge you an upfront $500 fee to
appraise the property then there will be a 20% - 30% commission on
the backend. If you tell a realtor that you want to get $10,000
for your Timeshare they are probably going to price your timeshare
at $13,000 so that they get their 30%. Adding in a 30% commission
is going to price you right out of the market and make your
property very unattractive.
Resort
When you buy your timeshare from a resort the last thing on
your mind is resale. Most resorts do not have a resale
program and will not buy them back. Let’s face it they
collect maintenance fees from you every year and that is what they
want. If a resort does have a resale program how aggressive
do you think they are going to be if they still have there own
weeks to sell.
Advertise
Another option is to advertise. This can become very
expensive and cost thousands of dollars with no promise of selling
your property. A newspaper gives you no guarantee that your
timeshare will sell they will also only run your ad for a set
amount of time and the costs can get very expensive.
